Yes, a minority. What I particularly like about Dex’s posts is that he really does sound like the majority. We’re not bad guys, despite what the likes of Falwell and Robertson would have you believe.

Then why do people like falwell and rush limbaugh or that other piece of shit ted haggart have so many followers and why do right voting christians vote in the most corrupt and inept leaders in the entire country? One reason I think is because they seem to see things in pretty black and white terms such as you are going to burn in hell or you’re not. It seems like those who feel they are “in the know” have a superiority complex. I have been talking with christians about their belief or whatever and have them say “oh well I guess we will see when yr burning in hell” as part of a serious discussion because they didn’t know what else to say! As someone who is on the other side looking at christianity, i can say that how you perceive yr faith is a lot more accurate to what jesus preached about than most people. It does say in the bible the road to heaven in narrow right? Don’t worry man. Most people are stupid anyway and wont understand that you’re trying to be a good person in accordance with yr religion.

I don’t drink coffee but I had my first cup the other day. It fried my brain and made me really jittery. I felt like my body was moving really fast but somehow my brain was going even faster. How is this shit legal? Pot doesn’t even make me feel that weird.

God is eternal. the only reason you would ask where he came from is because of the inherently skewed viewpoint from a perspective inside our space-time continuum. The only people I can think of who aren’t worshipping much of anything are those caught in the throes of depression who can’t see anything to give meaning or happiness or value, etc, and that proves my point.

ehhhh I see your point but I really don’t think worship is really the correct word to use for how I feel about the important things in my life. I admire or respect but the word worship just does not fit into how I see anything in life really.

I don’t need god and I don’t worship anything. There is no need to do so. We’re not in the dark ages anymore. You can appreciate things like drugs or money or entertainment but nothing says you have to or that everyone worships these things. You talk about societies with religion that have succeeded, but thats only with years and years of war and intolerance to other religions( just take a look at the entire middle east). Thats why they are around so long. The soviet union used atheism but most russians were not atheists so I don’t think thats a good example of an atheist society.
